The device is designed to measure surface temperature without direct contact in the range of -50 to +400 °C ( -58 to +752 °F ).

Aim the laser at the measurement object, and the result will be displayed on the backlit LCD display. The pyrometer is powered by two AAA batteries. It features a battery level indicator and the ability to switch between measurement units.
